Sandlewood does turn a purplish over time, it takes a while though. And really, it's kind of a dark brown with purple overtones anyway, not like you'd look at it and think "purple" anyway.

I don't know why, but am very glad it didn't turn purple. I think sandalwood should be brown, and your soap looks delicious!

Someone asked me what the dark area on the top of the soap is. It is just a shadow. I don't know how to take pictures very well.
